Pasting into a container

Postby timssewell » Fri Aug 23, 2013 1:59 pm

When you paste into a container the object you paste seems to get pasted into a random part of the container, normally at the bottom, which could be off the screen, surely it should paste in the viewable area?

I also think it makes sense for the x and y measurements to be relative to the container for objects inside it, or at least have the options to edit those attributes

Objects pasted do not actually go into the container, but rather above the container. If you have the container selected and you paste, it should paste the content at a specific position based on the size of the container.

This position is always a little from the left edge and partially clips the content of the bottom so it overflows out of the container to provide an indication that it is not in the container. I believe the exact offset is x:10 y:15 px and it should be the same each time.
