"Select All"

Postby mzimmpa » Thu Mar 06, 2014 10:02 pm

Hello experts,

I am prototyping a mobile app. I have a list of items (checklist) in which I would like a "Select all" button. Default will not be select all.
I will use a check box, button,or iOS 7 stencil - whichever is recommended as best practice - alongside each item.

1. Which type of "check box" would you recommend?
2. Which stencil or component would you recommend using for the checklist?
3. I am assuming I would use a state for clicking the "Select All" button.

Many Thanks!

It depends on what your target is for how the design should look as to what checkbox type component(s) to use. Both Android and iOS sections have buttons and checkboxes that would work. For the checklist, the way I'd do it would be to create each item in the list separately with a container that has a checkbox component and a label. Tying the checkboxes to states would let you easily toggle their appearance when activating the state via the select all button.
