Simulate off-canvas mobile menu

Postby literayz » Thu Jun 20, 2013 3:50 pm

Has anyone used protoshare to simulate a menu like the facebook or gmail mobile app menus?

I can show hide containers and even get them to slide when they do but I am not sure how to simply move a container over (or even resize it) based on a state change. I'm back with Protoshare after quite some time and trying to feel my way around the app again. If anyone has done this before could they share how they did it or point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

Welcome back to ProtoShare!

Components themselves cannot be moved or resized based on a stateful action. What you can do is simulate the movement/resizing by hiding the current components and making new components appear in the positon and size you would want when a state is triggered. It is very similar to creating a pop-up, but with similar content in another spot of the canvas.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
