sub nav size problem

How do I make the drop down menus in a horizontal navigation show wider than the parent button? This is a problem when I have a lot of short labels for the main nav and long labels for sub-pages.

Thanks,
Matt

Hi,

You can use CSS to change the appearance of the drop-down menus. Here is code that will change the width:

Code: Select all

#mybar .s9-content-grp .s9-content-grp .s9-content-itm {width: 300px !important;}
Just change the width value to fit your needs.

One thing to note is that this also effects any sub-menus from the main drop-down as well.

Thank you!

How do I get the text to left align, only for the sub navigation?

Hi,

You'll need some additional CSS to change the alignment. Just add this into your stylesheet on a new line:

Code: Select all

#mybar .s9-content-grp .s9-content-grp .s9-content-itm span {text-align:left !important;}
This targets the text within the drop-down menus and should align only the menus. If you run into any issues, please let us know.
