Hi,

Do we have a calendar type component that can be used -

I'm referring to the clickable widget thingy that shows a monthly view calendar, so a date can be selected.

Thanks!

There currently is not a calendar component available in ProtoShare. It could be available in some form in the future but I couldn't provide a schedule for that.

If you are on the Professional plan, you can use the Advanced HTML component (formerly HTML Sandbox) in the Rich User Interface section of the Editor's palette to add a calendar widget. There are many libraries to get the code for this, but we've used http://code.google.com/ in the past. We also have a blog post with more details: http://blog.protoshare.com/2009/11/02/c ... e-sandbox/.

I was loooking for the calendar component too.
Is the project still supported from a development point of view?
It looks as if the frequency of updates is dimishing...

Absolutely! ProtoShare is always under development and will soon have a new major release.

Calendar components can be added by using custom code in an advanced HTML component or, if you don't need the functionality and only need to show a calendar, you could use a static image.

Add the component "Advanced HTML" from "Rich User Interface (PRO)" to your page.
Insert the following code as an example

Code: Select all

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="UTF-8" />
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.10/themes/base/jquery-ui.css" type="text/css" media="all" />
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://static.jquery.com/ui/css/demo-docs-theme/ui.theme.css" type="text/css" media="all" />
<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.4/jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.10/jquery-ui.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="http://jquery-ui.googlecode.com/svn/tags/latest/external/jquery.bgiframe-2.1.2.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.10/i18n/jquery-ui-i18n.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<title>Date from</title>

<script>
$(function() {
$( "#datepicker" ).datepicker();
});
</script>
</head>
<body>
<div class="demo">
<p>Date from: <input type="text" id="datepicker"></p>
</div>
</body>
</html>
