Quick Keys

When working on complex screens I use the component outline in the right bar all the time to locate objects and then start to move them around etc. At the moment its quite a frustrating process if you want to move an object using the arrow keys (due to it being layered under stuff for example) as clicking on the element doesn't give you focused control on it, instead you have to right click "reveal on canvas" before you get proper focus.

Is there a reason why you don't get this focus as soon as you click on the component?

The Outline and the Canvas are two separate sections of the app, so you will lose focus if you click off the canvas and into the Outline. The gray highlight around the area is visual notification of where the component is and revealing it on the canvas will set the focus back to the canvas with a blue highlight around the component.

There is a hotkey that lets you set the focus back to the canvas at any time, Ctrl (cmd) + E. This way you do not need to manually click the component or reveal it on canvas. The shortcut seems to not be in our keyboard shortcut section of the user guide, so I'll make sure to get that added in.
